Professional services network Moore UK has announced its new CEO. Consulting industry veteran Mark Lance takes on the role, rejoining the firm after three decades away.
Mark Lance initially spent two years with Moore Stephens – the original member firm of Moore in the UK – in its corporate recovery wing. In 1992, he joined BDO in the same capacity, before making the leap to industry in 2001.
Over the past 23 years, Lance was CEO of corporate governance and compliance firm The Cornhill Group.
Having decided the time was right to return to Moore, he has taken on the network’s top job in the UK. Looking ahead, he will focus on expanding the Moore brand across Britain, further enhancing the member firm experience and growing the network across the north, northwest, East Anglia and the southwest.
Lance commented, “It’s a pleasure to take the reins as CEO. I look forward to building our existing presence, welcoming great UK firms to our professional community which promises autonomy, a collaborative culture that develops people and builds business, and access to the respected Moore brand renowned for quality, integrity and exceptional client care.”
Elsewhere in the firm, Matt Meadows has also been promoted to chair. Meadows joined the network as a trainee in 1998, and was named as the managing partner of its leading London member firm, Moore Kingston Smith, in May 2024.
Speaking on his new role, Meadows added, “It’s fantastic to chair this growing network and support Moore UK’s board in achieving its purpose to help its clients, people and communities thrive, as well as its commitment to being a driving force for positive social impact.”
Moore UK is an accounting and business advisory network with 31 locations of member firms across the UK. Moore UK firms are also members of Moore Global, an accounting and consulting network with more than 30,000 people.
