David Berks has been appointed as the new managing director of Vantage Consulting. He will work with the firm’s co-founders Jon Weavell and Russell Jones to drive its expansion strategy.
Founded in 2009, Vantage Consulting is a Staffordshire-based recruitment firm which helps clients to source and recruit talent in the engineering and technology sector. With a focus on the STEM market, the firm supports clients in the UK, the US, and Europe’s DACH region.
Commenting on the appointment, Weavell said, “David’s experience and knowledge is going to be instrumental in leading Vantage Consulting on its global expansion within the STEM markets it specialises in. This will include a greater scope of services we provide.”

Following an early career as a professional footballer with Aston Villa’s reserve team, Berks has spent the last 22 years in professional services work. As well as co-founding performance specialist advisory firm GameChanger Performance, this included a decade with PSR Solutions, where he was latterly a group development director helping to oversee brand growth, partnerships and business acquisition strategy.
At Vantage Consulting, Berks will oversee the team of more than 200 staff, across five markets, with an international reach. He will also oversee practice development, client management, and growth objectives.
